Your Bali Diving Vacation Package Itinerary

Tailer made packages, made easy: Choose which locations you want to dive, decide the number of nights you want to stay, select any land based excursions you’d like to incorporate and we’ll provide an itinerary based on exactly what you want.

Diving Nusa Penida: With 20 dive sites to choose from you will experience some phenomenal vibrant reefs and a range of marine life. Nusa Penida is a 45 minute speedboat ride from Sanur. The first dive is usually Manta Point followed by Crystal Bay and then an exhilarating drift dive along the north coast (dive sites subject to conditions). There is the chance to see marble rays, manta rays, reef sharks, sea snakes, jacks, giant trevally, tuna, turtles, barracuda and mola (July to October). Lunch is served on the boat between the dives 2 and 3. Nusa Penida can have strong currents and seasonally colder water.

Diving Padang Bai: In Padang Bai the dive sites are all less than a 10 minute boat ride from the beach. The marine life is incredibly varied and the sites range from sandy “muck” sites to stunning coral reefs. Highlights at Padang Bai include unusual nudibranch, frogfish, seahorses, scorpionfishes, and great macro-life as well as hawksbill turtles, juvenile reef sharks and sting rays. The surface interval is on the boat and after the second dive we have lunch in a beach-front restaurant.

Diving Tulamben: Tulamben is home to the US Liberty shipwreck which is encrusted in colourful corals and home to over 400 species of fishes. Frequent sightings include turtles, blue spotted sting rays, many nudibranch species, garden eels, giant barracuda, pygmy seahorses, lionfish, leaf fish, lobsters and many more critters and crustaceans. Tulamben is shore diving and lunch is served in a beach front restaurant.

Night Diving in Tulamben: A definite highlight as the US Liberty is home to a resident school of bumphead parrotfish which have made the wreck their favourite place to sleep. It’s an amazing sight to see these huge, alien looking fish up close. The wreck is also full of life at night with hunting groupers, swimming eels and some rare critters and crustaceans that cannot be seen during the day. Night dives are followed by an overnight stay in Tulamben.

Diving Amed: Amed offers some great critter and macro-life including several species of frogfish, pygmy seahorses, nudibranch, ghost pipefish and crustaceans as well as the chance to see turtles, barracuda, juvenile and mature sharks, lobsters, sting rays and good corals. Dive sites at Amed vary from sloping sandy reefs to coral walls with large fans. Schooling fish and larger pelagics are sometimes seen here too.

Diving Seraya: If you enjoy critters, macro life and some of the more rare and unusual marine creatures then Seraya is a great spot. Diving on volcanic black sand sites which are littered with cleaning stations this is where we find such treats as harlequin shrimp, boxer shrimp and numerous other crustacean species.

Diving Pemuteran: Pemuteran offers sloping reefs with good coral and fish life. It is home to the famous “Bio-Rock Project” which is managed by local villagers and consists of numerous iron structures on which healthy coral grows and attracts fish. The structures include tunnels, domes, archways and even a bicycle! Marine life in Pemuteran includes an array nudibranch species, schools of yellow snappers, turtles, a plethora of reef fish and good macro. Pemuteran is also good for night diving.

Diving Tepekong: Gili Tepekong is one of the east coast islands and offers the best chance to see sharks in Bali. Currents can be strong and the water can be colder from July to October. Dive sites include rock pinnacles, shark caves, rugged reefs and lots of fish! Tepekong is also good for mola sightings and passing pelagics during the cooler water period.

Diving Puri Jati: A relatively new diving area in Bali and a chance to see mimic octopus as well as other octopus species and cuttlefish, rare and unusual nudibranch, flying gurnards, ribbon eels, seahorses, devilfish, Ambon scorpionfish and a countless crustacean species. Puri Jati is a great spot for underwater macro photographers.

Diving Secret Bay: This is the best place for rare and unusual marine life but be warned that it is real “muck” diving – trash is included! Waters here can be chilly but highlights include an abundance of frogfish, pipefish, devilfish, stonefish, sea horses, dragonets, nudibranch, mantis shrimps, octopus, cuttlefish and stargazers. Allow for night diving here for a chance to see the bobbit worm and bobtail squid.
