Distances between Bali dive sites
If you plan to stay in the resort areas in South Bali (Sanur, Kuta, Nusa Dua) and take diving day trips ~ starting from & returning to the same hotel each day ~ these are the approximate traveling times to the best Bali dive sites;

| Tulamben | Two hrs. by road (most sites shore entry) |
| Menjangan | Two and a half hrs. by road and 30 minutes by boat |
| Pemuteran | Two and a half hrs. by road and 15 minutes by boat (some sites shore entry) |
To minimize this traveling time we recommend you take a diving package tour overnighting near the dive sites. If you take a Bali diving tour like this your total time on the road will be reduced by 50%.
The three best diving areas in Bali are Tulamben, Nusa Penida and Menjangan Island. All three of these diving areas offer World Class diving and a wide variety of dive sites. To fully appreciate Bali underwater a diving tour in Bali will include these three diving areas (at least). For short trips to Bali a variety of Tulamben and Nusa Penida dive sites can be dived in two or three days.
